The company's name was "Kaneichi" and it was founded in 1880.
We manufacture and sell Kishu specialty products such as palm products and medicinal ingredients such as Japanese pepper.

From a young age, our founder, Katsunosuke Yamamoto, advocated business based on mutual prosperity, and based on his own experiences, he created several mottos, such as "If you don't keep things moving, it will rain," in hopes of business going well for many days.
Even now, we continue to do business while conveying the things we want to preserve, even as times change.

Kishu Grape Sansho is a type of sansho pepper that is larger than most other peppers and has a subtle, elegant citrus scent.
Yamamoto Katsunosuke Shoten has been selling this grape sansho since it was founded in 1880.

Our store's founder, Katsunosuke Yamamoto, noticed that sansho had medicinal properties and was highly useful as a flavoring ingredient, so he cultivated it into a local specialty. Today, Wakayama Prefecture's annual production of sansho exceeds 500 tons, making it the number one producer in the country.
